Booking agencies have one job to do: book concerts. But getting
there from here involves communicating a large and fairly predictable
amount of information to the potential sponsor. And potential sponsors
don't like having to ask an agent for basic information.
That's
why we built distinctive Flash-driven buttons into the sidebar of the
DCBAgency.com web site. Each Flash button has a rollover effect on the
artist's photo, and the buttons are hard-coded with direct links to the
four main areas of content all sponsors need: The artist's biography,
photos/videos and calendar, and a form to book the concert. As a
result, sponsors are always one click away from virtually any tidbit of
information they could want from any of DCB's artists.
The
buttons have a same-ness that cuts down on visual clutter. But an
artist photo and large custom logo dominate the art, ensuring that the
sponsor will make an immediate connection with the image and musical
style of the band.
Each Flash button was created independently
of the others, so changes and additions to DCB's artist roster won't
require a complete redesign of the entire sidebar. This saves the
agency time and money they need to ensure successful relationships with
their clients.
