Social networking tools

It's never been more important to know who your customers are, and give them the opportunity to interact directly with you and with each other. That's why we've built all kinds of social networking and content creation tools into Generator, to give you the power to connect with your customers and publish the kind of content they are looking for.

• Blogs

A blog provides an opportunity for you and your team write entries in journal style, displayed in a reverse chronological order. Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, and gives customers the chance to respond to your posts online. Your Generator blog contains the unique colors, fonts and layout of your site, and connects directly to your site membership database — so you always have control over who's posting, and ensuring that your customers are just one click away from making a purchase at your site.

  • New blog posts are made right within your Generator site infrastructure.
  • After posting to your blog, your entry immediately shows up at your site.
  • Your customers can respond to your posts right in the web page.
  • Post comments show up right below your original post, and look just like your site's overall styles.
  • Here's how it all comes together, live within the site!

• Message Boards

Message boards provide a forum for fans and customers to directly interact with you and each other by posting topics, responses, and comments on responses. Message boards differ from blogs in that blogs do not allow site visitors to post topics, just comments to topics posted by the publisher. Message boards are not for everyone, as they require full time monitoring by a team member, but message boards are the life blood of the online community world. • Site membership
You can't run a successful online community without an aggressive and proactive site membership marketing plan. Site memberships usually require visitors to sign up for a deeper level of contact from the site publisher, and in return offer them unique content and benefits that are not available to non-members. Generator has a state-of-the-art site membership tool set that allows you to request, require and collect as much information about your customers as you want (and they are willing to give you).

We also tie site membership directly into our on-site email services, so you can send special email messages to members only.
